Who is Hub Life?

Vision statement of Hub Life Church:

We exist to bring life to Hub City, Wood County and to the ends of the earth.

We are committed to making an impact in our community and beyond by sharing the love and message of Jesus Christ through our words and actions. We strive to be a welcoming and inclusive community that offers hope, healing, and transformation to all who enter our doors. Through our worship services, small groups, and outreach efforts, we seek to build relationships and make a positive difference in the lives of those around us. We believe that every person has a unique purpose and calling, and we are dedicated to helping each individual discover and live out their God-given potential. Together, we are committed to building a better future for ourselves, our community, and the world.

Our vision is based on Jesus words in John 10:10, “I have come to bring life and life abundantly.”

Mission Statement of Hub Life Church:

Loving people and leading them to meet, know and follow Jesus.

Values of Hub Life Church

LEAN into God for His love and power

LOVE people where they are

LEAD people to meet, know and follow Jesus

Hello everyone,

My name is Casey Schifelbine and I am the Lead Pastor of Hub Life Church. I am honored to have this opportunity to share a little bit about myself and my passion for serving God and His people.

First and foremost, I am a follower of Jesus Christ. My primary calling is to share the love of God and the message of salvation with others. It is my heart's desire to see people come to know Jesus and experience the abundant life that He offers.

But my calling doesn't stop there. I also have a deep passion for helping people discover their personal calling from God. Each and every one of us has been uniquely created by God with specific gifts, talents, and purposes. My role as a pastor is to help people tap into those gifts and use them to fulfill their God-given purpose.

I am married to my wonderful wife, and we have three amazing children. They are my world and I am grateful for their love and support as I serve in my role as a pastor. My family is my priority and I am blessed to have them by my side in this journey of faith.

Aside from my love for God and His people, I also have a few hobbies that I enjoy. I am a sports enthusiast and love watching and playing different sports. It is not just about the physical aspect, but also the camaraderie and bonding that comes with it. I believe that sports can bring people together and build relationships.

Another hobby of mine is reading. I have a passion for learning and growing as a follower of Jesus, and reading is one of the ways I do that. I enjoy reading the Bible, as well as other books that help me deepen my understanding of God.

Now, I must admit, I also have a weakness for pizza and binge-watching TV shows. Sometimes, it's important to take a break and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. It's all about balance, right?

As the Lead Pastor of Hub Life Church, I am excited about the future and the potential for growth and impact in our community. I am always looking for ways to connect with people and build relationships. I believe that together, we can make a positive difference in the world.

Whether you are a long-time member of our church, or someone who is just curious and wanting to know more, I am looking forward to meeting you. I believe that we are all on a journey towards becoming who God has created us to be, and I am honored to walk alongside you on that journey.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I am excited about what God has in store for us and I invite you to join me on this journey of faith.

Hub Life's Beliefs

The beliefs that Hub Life church holds true are based off our governing body, Converge Worldwide. These beliefs define the core of what Hub Life believes. These beliefs build on top of our foundation in Christ to reach out through the power of God and bring life!

Converge Worldwide Affirmation of Faith

The Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

The Trinity

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.

God the Father

We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of all people, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only-begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His  substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide.

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

The Church

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

Christian Conduct

We believe that Christians should live for the glory of God and the well-being of others; that their conduct should be blameless before the world; that they should be faithful stewards of their possessions; and that they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.

The Ordinances

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church: baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the triune God. We believe that the Lord's Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Religious Liberty

We believe that every human being has direct relations with God, and is responsible to God alone in all matters of faith; that each church is independent and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; that therefore, Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from dictation or patronage of the other.

Church Cooperation

We believe that local churches can best promote the cause of Jesus Christ by cooperating with one another in a denominational organization. Such an organization, whether it is the conference or a district conference, exists and functions by the will of the churches. Corporation in a conference is voluntary and may be terminated at any time. Churches may likewise cooperate with interdenominational fellowships on a voluntary, independent basis.

The Last Things

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal felicity of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.
